Privacy Policy

Step Step is built privacy-first. The short version: your data never leaves your iPhone. There is no backend server, no account, and no third-party analytics or advertising SDK in the app.

What we access

With your permission, Step Step reads health data — steps, workouts, heart rate, distance and weight — from Apple Health, and can write weight entries and manual workouts back to Apple Health. This data is processed entirely on your device to draw your charts, calendars and streaks.

What we collect

Nothing. We do not collect, transmit, sell or share your health data or any personal information. We have no servers to send it to.

On-device AI

Any AI-generated insight (the "coach") runs on-device using Apple's Foundation Models. Your health data is not sent to any external AI service.

Diagnostics

Error and crash logs are stored locally on your device and are only ever shared if you choose to export them yourself from Settings. Nothing is uploaded automatically.
